Hey there, dog lovers. Are you looking for a list of dog films to watch with your dog?
I’ve compiled an exciting list of 52 dog films to watch with your furry friend, one for each week of the year!
Our challenge is to watch 52 movies this year, one each week. Can we do it?
As most of you know, my senior dog Chevy and I are practically glued at the hip. From walks in the park to snuggles on the couch, we love spending time together. And what better way to bond than with a good movie night, cuddled up with popcorn and, of course, our four-legged companions?
That’s why I came up with this epic challenge: 52 dog films, one movie per week for an entire year! Yep, you read that right, 52 weeks of heartwarming tales, goofy adventures, and tear-jerking moments, all starring our favorite animal: the dog!

What you’ll find in this post:
This list includes classics like Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, that never fails to make me cry happy tears. You’ll laugh with Marley & Me, gasp at the action in John Wick (remember the good doggo?), and be touched by the loyalty of Max, The Grinch’s dog.
There’s something for every mood and every dog lover. You may find movies with furry friends and others that are not dogs, but they are part of my favorite list of movies I can rewatch over and over.
I’ll also leave where to watch the movies, but you can try to find them online if you like.
So, are you up for the challenge? Can we, as a dog-loving community, tackle this 52-week journey of dog films? I think we can!
