In this post, I’ll share 4 reasons I would stay at this hotel in Marathon again and 1 reason it didn’t get our 5 Paws of Pet Friendliness Review.

4 Reasons You Will Love This Pet Friendly Hotel At Marathon Key Florida
1. This place is what I didn’t know I needed. Sometimes, mistakes can change your life.
I accidentally left my phone in the room, which was my best mistake! I didn’t know that going for a walk with Chevy by the ocean would make me feel so offline and connected at the same time. It was so peaceful!
I even fell asleep in a lounge chair by the beach. On my way back, my mood was better. I didn’t have any pictures, but I had the sun marks and a clearer mind to prove it.
2. The Scenery is Just Beautiful. Like living on an island!
The Grassy Flats Resort & Beach Club overseas highway Marathon Fl, and it’s an oceanfront property. You are surrounded just by the sea!
It makes you feel like you’re staying on an island in the middle of the ocean but relaxed—not like looking for a rescue ship, haha!
3. Pet Friendliness

They allow dogs under 30 lbs. for a fee of $50 per pet per night. I have to say that this policy is not ideal, but we had no problems with Chevy being over that weight.
The same goes for the nightly fee. We stayed for 3 nights, so we paid $150 for Chevy. Overall, the hotel is pet-friendly since Chevy was allowed everywhere; I always appreciate that. Check their policies here.
4. Space for the whole family. If you have a big family like me, continuous rooms won’t work, you need a house in a hotel. This place has what you need!
If you are looking for a hotel in Marathon, or anywhere in the Keys and you have a cuban family like me, you know you had to book a big suite or a big house.
We choose the Conch House, the older building of the Grassy Flats Resort since it has a great space, 2-3 bedrooms with a big kitchen because my mom needs to cook. Yeah, we’re on vacation but she don’t care, she needs to cook for everybody. She needs to make cafecito on the mornings and afternoons. Even Chevy drink cafecito!
The Only Reason This Hotel in Marathon Didn’t Get Our 5 Paws Review
The beach was less inviting than the rest of the place. The pool was great, but the beach had a lot of seaweed, and we didn’t actually get in at all during our three-night stay. You still can have a great time and a lot of fun if you don’t mind the seaweed.
